In December 2020, over 1,300 sqft of lawn & non-native plants were replaced with various California native plants & cultivars featuring:

• a gravel patio/access area behind the wall

• garden-tolerant CA native plants with an emphasis on year-round flower/foliage color & neat growing patterns

• a flagstone driveway extension

• battery-powered irrigation timers that automatically water with high-efficiency sprinkler heads (no electricity required)

• a water-retention basin disguised as a boulder wall (fed by a downspout)
