Landscape Maintenance

We are licensed, bonded, & insured.

We are educated & passionate, California-native plant experts.

We do all our own work... wisely, reliably, & honestly.

We are not your typical "mow & blow" gardeners. We do not provide weekly garden care. Our focus is on maintaining CA native gardens, which generally only need seasonal maintenance.

SERVICE AS NEEDED

If you would like us to come less than every 4 months, contact us when you need maintenance. Our "service as needed" rate is $150 per hour. Depending on your location, that may involve a fee to cover our travel expenses. Also, please understand that we will be fitting you into our schedule, so the day and time may vary. If you have a specific day and time in mind, please give us multiple weeks notice. We will do our best to accommodate!

HOW OFTEN IS MAINTENANCE NEEDED?

A garden comprised of mostly annual, perennials, and flowering shrubs will usually require the most maintenance (every 1-2 months) depending on your level of neatness.

A well designed native garden (one that consist of 50%-75% evergreen shrubs that are properly spaced) should only need seasonal maintenance (every 3-4 months).

WHAT IF I NEED MORE MAINTENANCE?

Our mission is to not only install and care for native gardens, but to inspire you to care for your own (& enjoy doing so). If you're willing to take on some task in-between our visits, we can set up a consultation and formulate a DIY garden maintenance plan for you to follow. This will help you understand your plants and their specific needs. This allows you to leave only the most important and crucial task for us.

If you like a tidy garden and aren’t willing to do it yourself, we recommend hiring another gardener to handle the mundane and repetitive tasks such as blowing leaves, killing weeds, clearing pathways etc. Then, you can have us come out every 2 months or 4 months for a more design-focused maintenance with an emphasis on trimming your precious natives properly.
