California Snowdrop is a medium, well structured, deciduous shrub. It goes dormant from fall to early spring. Lime green leaves emerge in Spring followed by precious white flowers that resemble lanterns or orange blossoms. While it can take water, it's been found growing in the wild in full sun with no supplemental water. The branches are structured very neatly. Makes a great silhouette when its dormant half the year.

In the garden, this should be used in a more formal setting. A very rare plant in nature and in the garden, so more for the native plant collector. The show it puts on for a month or 2, is worth the wait if you have extra space.. but it may not give enough foundational interest for you to have it front and center.
