Fish Hook Cactus is a small, evergreen little cactus that grows slowly. A charming little plant with cool geometrically shapes and little thorns that are fish hook shaped. That is to say, they won’t poke you, but they will get caught under your skin if you press on it hard enough. The flowers are dainty and beautiful. They form at the top of the cactus, creating what appears to be, its own little flower crown.

In the garden, these are used mostly by CA native plant collectors. This is a charming plant that should be used in more gardens. They are fun to tuck in-between rocks and along pathways. Also use these in container gardening.
